INTERNATIONAL YOUNG EAGLES DAY IS SATURDAY!
Friday, June 12, 2009 at 3:41PM Tomorrow (June 13) is the annual International Young Eagles Day, where
EAA members and chapters around the world focus on flying young people
and introducing them to the world of flight. In past years, up to
10,000 Young Eagles or more were flown on this weekend. As the Young
Eagles total approaches the 1.5-million mark since 1992, we say thanks
to everyone who is involved in the program, pilots and ground support
alike. We also appreciate the new support from Sporty's Pilot Shop,
which is making its online pilot training course available at no charge
for every Young Eagle registered. Locally, there will be a Young Eagles
rally on Saturday morning at Wittman Regional Airport, based at Orion
Flight Services. If you have the opportunity, get out and fly some
young people this weekend!
